How the environment shapes our risk for disease
I investigate geographic clusters of diseases to identify a root cause (i.e. watershed contamination, air pollution, other environmental toxins), epigenetic modulation of disease (both ways - how our environment and experiences increase or counteract our inborn risks).

Cases I have and am investigating:
-increased incidence of young onset non-hodgkins lymphoma in New Hampshire along the Merrimack River
-increased incidence of infant onset seizure disorders in children born in certain zip codes on the central coast of california surrounding a military base
